Edward Said (b. Nov. 1, 1935 Jerusalem, Palestine-d. Sept. 24, 2003, New York City, NY) grew up in Palestine and Egypt and relocated to the United States to attend high school. He graduated from Princeton University (BA, 1957) and Harvard University (MA, 1960; PhD, 1964).
